Krakow Trip 2012

E-mail Print

Hi my name is Kurtis Cree, I am in Year 13. I studied History at GCSE and went to Berlin in 2011 and in the summer of 2012 I went with the school to Krakow.

The trip had mixed emotions for everyone who attended. All of the visits were good but visiting Auschwitz Concentration Camp was very emotional.

It was upsetting to see the place that we had learnt so much about; a place where so many had died. My favourite part of the trip was meeting the Holocaust survivor Josef Rasolowski.

In Auschwitz everything is so big and the numbers are very hard to comprehend, but to hear one person's story makes it personal and easier to understand.

I would sum up this trip as 'once in a lifetime' and absolutely life-changing. These are some of my photos.
