Hati_Shelterbox_Appeal_Group_photoBangor Academy pupils joined the relief efforts for Haiti when they held a charity disco, dance display and raffle just before the half-term break. In total they raised £1000 to present to North Down Rotary who will use it to buy two disaster relief “Shelterboxes”.

ShelterboxThese boxes contain essential items for families in disaster zones such as; a ten man tent, ground sheets, a stove, tools and even a children’s colouring pack. All Shelterboxes are numbered and can be tracked on-line as they make their way to Haiti.
