Stones-throw-WEBYear 10 Citizenship and Drama pupils enjoyed a local playwright’s exploration of the way anti-social behaviour can damage our communities.

The thought-provoking production of ‘A stone’s Throw’ in Space@Serc is part of the Ending the Harm campaign. This campaign works to alert young people about the serious consequences of getting involved with paramilitaries.

Pupils commented on the emotional power of the way issues like peer pressure and taking a moral stand were tackled. They thoroughly enjoyed the 35 minute performed by students aged 14-18.

‘I am looking forward to getting a copy of the script provided for teachers in April. This was a successful collaboration between Cinemagic and CCEA who were sponsored by the PSNI and the government to create resources. It was a performance that our pupils will remember and I know we will make use of the script back at school in Citizenship lessons.’
