Calling all past pupils – we’d love to catch up!

We couldn’t be prouder of these outstanding past pupils.

This trio of talented past pupils visited school in the last week of term to share news of their First Class Honours degrees. Samantha Beggs has just completed her Geography degree at Queen’s University, Belfast. She is going on to do her PGCE at the University of Ulster with a view to becoming a Geography teacher. Needless to say the Geography Department is delighted to have such an outstanding pupil return to share her news.

Robyn Willis, who like Samantha was a past Head Girl at the Academy, is also planning a career in teaching. She has just completed her Batchelor of Education Honours degree at Stranmillis and has been accepted onto a Masters at Queen’s. Robyn’s focus will be on autism inclusion, but before that she has planned a busy summer teaching English in the Czech Republic. Teaching is already a passion!

It was amazing to also welcome Peter Dornan back on the last day of term with news that he will graduate with a First Class Honours degree in Engineering. He focused on Energy and Renewable Technology  but is planning a gap year in Australia before he starts his engineering career. Happy travels Peter!
