Baby Grand DramaSeven lucky Year 12 Drama pupils will tread the boards of the Baby Grand at the Opera House on Friday 12th October.

The performance is culmination of the work they have been doing as part of The Co-operative's 'Inspired Futures project'.

The Bangor Academy students enjoyed two workshops with actress, Carol Moore. Ideas from those sessions were sent to the script writer, Rosemary Jenkinson, and rehearsals began in September with director, Mary Frances-Doherty. In addition to performing their piece in the Baby Grand, they will get to devise a collaborative piece with two other schools in the project, Hunter House and Glenlola. All three individual school pieces and the collaborative script will be performed in Belfast then students from all three schools will travel to the Co-op Expo in Manchester during the Hallowe'en break. Their mini "Mancunian" tour will see them perform in two venues during their visit.

Break a leg! Everyone at Bangor Academy wishes you well as your debut on a professional stage draws near and when you travel to Manchester in early November.
