DoE Bronze Awards March 2013Following a freezing training session in February at Ardnabannon, the Bronze group were ready to sally forth into the Mournes to test their navigation and camping skills.

Back at home they got involved in community activities ranging from gardening to gymnastics coaching; dog walking for the elderly and charity shop volunteering. They took up new hobbies to learn skills in jewellery making, woodwork and cookery and engaged in a new sport. The culmination of physical, skills, volunteering and confidently striding about the Mournes was rewarded in assembly this week as 36 pleased pupils received their Bronze awards. Congratulations to everyone involved.
