The Academy’s  Biologists get a lesson in Haematology.A-Level Biology students attended a lecture by Dr. Declan McKenna from the University of Ulster’s School of Biomedical Sciences as part of the Friendship Four Tour (Belfast 2017) at W5.

The STEM event also covered, immunology, genetics, DNA technology, and cell biology in addition to a presentation by Prof Stephen McClean about courses and careers within the School of Biomedical Sciences.

It was a one-stop shop for our pupils and teachers to learn about the most cutting edge application of biology in medicine and industry and the careers in which those advances are being used.
