Sister Cities Art Competition Success


Art SuccessThe theme for the Sister Cities art competition was Shaping Your Community for a Greener Future.’ 

 In first place was Lisa , Year 13 with a highly creative and innovative collage of ‘Crawfordsburn at Sunset’.  She used a range of recycled papers and ‘heat pressed’ plastic bags layered on top of each other to produce her stunning work of art. 

 One of the 3 runners up was Craig , Year 9, who drew and stitched leaf shapes onto paint cards to create a very striking and effective poster design. 

 Four other entrants from Bangor Academy were given the honour of their pieces being selected for the Exhibition which is now on at the Heritage Centre, behind the Town Hall, Bangor.
