Law EventSix of our Sixth Formers ventured into a world well beyond the normal school experience when they attended the Attorney General’s second annual Living Law programme. The session is the first out of five planned to introduce students to the law and justice system.

Following presentations from the Attorney General himself and “A Day in the Life of …” a barrister and a solicitor; our students were challenged to hone their persuasive powers in a challenging debate. The motion was: “It is the responsibility of a parent and not Facebook to ensure that his or her child is not put at risk through the contents of the child's Facebook page.” Controversial and all too relevant, the debate got everyone thinking about the law, society and our own responsibilities and attitudes to the legal system.

We can’t wait to hear what they get up to in the next session!
