Sixth Form Event Road SafetyHealth and Social Care students at Bangor Academy welcomed Year 2 pupils from Central Primary School for a lesson in road safety. The Sixth Form students had a series of sampling activities aimed at engaging their six year old counterparts -there were no difficulties getting across the road on this occasion!

World Book Day Logo 2012GET CAUGHT READING    Bangor Academy celebrated this year's World Book Day by encouraging everyone in the school to spend some time reading.  Principal, pupils, visitors, teachers, caretakers, cleaners, canteen and non-teaching staff all got involved under the watchful eye of "The Reading Police".  We read magazines and books, we read on ipads and Kindles...and in the PE Department.....well it seems they can read anywhere!

American VisitorsBangor Academy's Head Boy and Girl, Kyle Malcolm and Emma McCorry, welcomed visitors from Kempsville Middle School when they toured the Academy as part of a delegation from Bangor's twinned American city, Virginia Beach. The delegation met students who are already involved in projects to forge educational and student links with Kempsville Middle School.

Choir ClubFour members of Bangor Academy's Consort have been invited to join the Ulster Youth Choir.

Ulster Youth Choir Choral Director, Dominic Peckham, conducted a vocal workshop with Bangor Academy's finest singers this week. The dynamic choir master was in school to fine tune the consort ahead of the school's annual Spring Concert on 28th March, but four of our singers got more than they bargained for from the event.
